Owing to the rain, this IPL season’s final game stretched for three
days and played a spoilsport. Yet, when the moment arrived, the fans could not
get enough of the exciting shots played by the members of both teams – Chennai
Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. It was CSK that emerged as the winners, with MS
Dhoni’s popularity again taking an upswing, while Hardik Pandya’s team crumbled
in a 15-over restricted match. Chasing the 171-run mark, CSK leaped winning the
IPL trophy on the very last ball.
The rain dimmed the spirit among the audience for a while as Gujarat
Titans had posted 214/4 in 20 overs. But because of the shower between the

sure that they balanced the opening stand. Thereafter contributions from
Ajinkya Rahane, Ambati Rayudu, and Shivam Dube brought CSK closer to the win.
